Is of paramount importance to ALM Construction Ltd. and at the forefront of everyone’s mind, it is a priority on every project regardless of size to ensure the health and Safety of our staff, operatives, public and site visitors.
The Company has established a comprehensive Health, Safety and Welfare Policy in the compliance with current legislation. Within the Policy all levels of management have general and where applicable, specific responsibilities to ensure the Company complies with its legal obligations. We have appointed specific people to be responsible for the implementation of our Health and Safety Policy.
Our site supervisors to the operative and supply chain members prior to the event taking place convey each individual process where a risk to everyone’s safety is concerned. All operatives, sub-contractors, visitors, building users and clients representatives on arrival at site are to report to our Site Supervisor who will induct site specific rules, such as emergency procedures and designated fire meeting points.
Safe Contractor Accredited
The Safe Contractor scheme provides a health and safety audit service for contractors – reassuring their clients that health and safety is being handled to the highest standards.
Monitor Performances Continually
We monitor sub-contractor performance continually. They are requested to produce risk assessments and method statements for all contracts before they are allowed to begin work on site. It is important to note that all sub-contractor staff are managed in exactly the same way as our direct employees.
All our Site Supervisors have completed SMSTS course, all operatives carry CSCS or CPCS cards and are Enhanced DBS cleared contractor to work in schools.
We are permanently looking at new initiatives to help improve safety on site.
